2010 ARWIA Conference

 

Make plans now to join us for the

2010 Arkansas Women in Agriculture Conference!

We are making plans for another information-packed ARWIA Conference, beginning with pre-conference workshop registration at 9:00 am on Monday, March 1st. Pre-conference workshops will be from 9:30-11:30 am. 

Registration for the ARWIA Conference will begin at 9:30 am with the opening session at 11:45 am.

  • Date:  Monday and Tuesday, March 1 and 2, 2010

  • Location:  The Wyndham Hotel, North Little Rock, AR

  • Registration fee (includes all meals and a conference t-shirt*)

    • Member Registration -  $70.00
    • Non-Member Registration - $80.00
    • Student Registration -  $35.00

    Pre-Conference Workshops

    We are very excited to bring you FIVE pre-conference workshops for you to choose from on Monday, March 1st from 9:30-11:30am!

    Registration is only $25!

    With all these options, there is sure to be a pre-conference workshop for everyone; however, due to the hands-on nature of these workshops, space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.


    1. Business Plans - Dr. Jennie Popp from the University of Arkansas will teach how to use a free online business plan system to develop your own business plan. This is a hands-on workshop, and a limited number of computers will be provided. Space is limited!

    2. Contracts/Leases - Back by popular demand! Rusty Rumley, Staff Attorney with the National Agricutlural Law Center, will be conducting a workshop on contracts and leases. Two hours should allow plenty of time for Q & A!

    3. Estate Planning - Attorney Brenda Vassaur Taylor will offer a two-hour workshop on Estate Planning specific to farms and ranches.

    4. Grain Marketing - Extension Economist Scott Stiles will be presenting a workshop on the basics of grain marketing.

    5. Quicken for Farm/Ranch Records - Dr. Damona Doye from Oklahoma State will be teaching this class on adapting Quicken for your farm/ranch records. This is a hands-on workshop, and a limited number of computers will be provided. Space is limited!
